The land!

This morning before church, I was still not feeling well and was in bed when Ben and the boys were getting up and getting ready for church. I decided to stay home. Jeremy, over the last year, has developed quite an imagination and decided that he wanted to create a 'land'. He proceeded to find just about every blanket and pillow in the house and lay them out in the living room and kitchen. Of course Mom and Dad were impressed and wanted to catch it on film. Later, when the boys and Dad were ready to go to church, I thought they all looked so cute because they all wore their blue sweater vests and I tried to get a picture of them altogether but Alex didn't want to and then when I tried to take the picture outside, the camera didn't want to take it. So here's the pictures I got of my handsome boys!

UTA Frontrunner

Yesterday, we decided to take the kids to ride the new Frontrunner train that runs from Ogden to Salt Lake. Our plan was that we would go to the Gateway when we got to Salt Lake. Well all good plans can go up in smoke. First off, I rode down earlier in the day to the station in Pleasant View near our house. The internet said that the free rides would start at 2PM. But when I got to the station, not a soul was there. So I went to the one on 25th and Wall. Lots of people there. Both boys had fallen asleep so Ben and I waited and planned to take the 5PM train. When we got back there, we found out that the wait would be about 2 hours just to get on the platform. We really wanted to leave but Jeremy was determined to stay. When we finally boarded the train, it was crowded and we were told that we should stay on the train and not get off or we wouldn't be able to get back on. The last train was leaving coming back from Salt Lake at about 9 and we didn't get on the train until almost 7 and there would be a 2 hour wait again to board again. So we decided to ride it down and back and just get off. Jeremy quickly found that he was bored of the ride and wished we could get off. He and Alex ate all the snacks I had going down and were ravenous (so were Mom and Dad) coming home. Many families were in the same boat as us. So when we got back to the station in Ogden, I had a headache and we were all starving! So I think we can say we rode the train!!

Alex's 2nd Birthday!

We wanted to share pictures of Alex's 2nd birthday, which was Wednesday, April 16th. Alex was a little cranky at his birthday because he, myself and Ben took a quick business trip to Atlanta, Georgia from Sunday to Tuesday. This would be Alex's last airplane ride free. He did pretty good though. He didn't want to look out the window though and kept shutting the shade. So he was tired on his birthday and took a nap just before everyone came over for the party. He wouldn't smile for Grandpa when he was taking his pictures but started to warm up once we got him his favorite, pizza, which he ate while opening presents. Grandma had been nice enough to bake his cake the day before his birthday, with Jeremy's help, and she and I decorated it on his birthday. He got lots of Elmo things and was pretty happy with what he got!

Conference weekend

I have to admit, along with a lot of other people, I wondered how conference would be without President Hinckley. I had seen for so many years, President Monson being a counselor that I wondered how it would be with him as the prophet. I didn't know much about him except for always enjoying his wonderful stories. But as I stood in the conference center during the solemn assembly, I could feel the Spirit so strong testifying that he is indeed the prophet now. It was wonderful. I enjoyed so many of the talks and look forward to reading them in the Ensign. Ben was able to attend all of the sessions on Saturday and the morning session on Sunday. I went to join him with the kids for the Sunday morning session and we thought we could watch it in the Joseph Memorial building. The kids had other ideas. As we parked to walk up to the building, both boys had been asleep. Alex woke up and proceeded to throw up all over Ben and I. We were in quite a shock. Luckily I had brought some clothes to change him in. We kind of thought it was a fluke and so we headed up to the JS building after having a picnic. It was quite crowded there but we were able to find seats in the chapel. Alex grew weary of sitting in the chapel and I took him out. He was running around by the windows and all of the sudden, blahh all over one of the couches. I proceeded to grab Ben and we went to the bathroom. We had to wheel Alex out to the car with just his diaper on and a blanket. We really wanted to go to Ben's granddad's to see all the family after conference and thought Alex could stay in the car. So we headed over there and we ended up sitting outside and things seemed okay. Jeremy had complained of a stomach ache on and off and then blahhh!!! All over the lawn at Granddad's. We then proceeded home with Alex throwing up a few more times in the car. He continued to be sick Monday today. Jeremy seemed to be fine Monday but I kept him home from school. Well then today he wakes up and runs into the bathroom and ends up having the yucky diarrhea all over the bathroom floor. Then he threw up a few hours later in the living room. So it's been a fun one!!!
Here is a picture I took before we headed down to Salt Lake, pre-throwing up!

Catching up!

So I finally emptied my camera of some pictures. And it may be a little while before some other pictures are on here again because my new camera, that I thought was going to be a good one, is already not working! I had to send it off to the company to see what's up with it!
So here are some cute pictures of the boys.
This one is of Alex and we have this coffee table that Ben's parents gave us and although I am grateful to have it, I don't like that it's got a glass top. Well a few weeks ago, one of the glass tops broke and it's now become one of Alex's favorite places to watch TV.

This is one of Jeremy trying to be Bob the Builder/Super Hero/I don't know what!

Here's the boys helping Dad exercise!

Here are the boys and a neighbor boy playing superhero
Here are some candid pictures from our camera

Finally, here's the boys at playgroup at the church. These are the last pictures with the digital before I sent it off to be repaired. All of the other Easter pictures are on my old standby. The kids had a great Easter though. Yesterday we did a local Easter egg hunt and then went to store that had a bunny walk throughout the store and then we came home and colored Easter eggs. Today, the Easter bunny left eggs throughout the living room.

Blogging is a blessing!

It's been a little while since I blogged. I have been trying to get cute pictures of my kids to post but being up to my in laws and not having my camera, I can't put the pictures today. But I want to say how grateful I am for being able to blog. The other day, I wanted to take the kids to Arctic Circle to get a kids meal because for Easter, they have these cute stuffed Easter bunnies. The Arctic Circle by my house doesn't have a playground and Jeremy needed to get some energy out. So I asked the girls at the one by my house if they knew of one that had a playground. They said the one in Roy does. So we drove out to Roy. The boys and I sat down and someone called my name. I looked over and there is a friend from one of my first jobs back from my mission. I had lost touch with her soon after Jeremy was born. She lives in Roy and was there with her daughter. She goes on to tell me that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in January. I was shocked! But I knew that there was a greater work that had gone into me and her being there at the same time. She gave me her contact information (I had it already but I came to find out I had misprinted the information in my address book) and a blog spot she has created so that people can check on there about her progress and not bother her as much. As I have looked over it today, I am so grateful to be able to keep in touch with people this way!

The many hats we wear!

You know how kids go through phases. Well lately Alex has been going through a hat phase. I wanted to record it on film. He looked so cute in all his hats and of course his brother wanted in on it too. So here they are. The only hat that I couldn't get Alex to wear again when I took the pictures was my shower cap, which he had worn earlier in the day. Alex is so cute! He is really starting to talk and loves the ABC song and any other song he may be humming. He really follows what his brother does (including being rough with me which I am trying to break him of it). It's funny how when you have your first and then your second and they repeat what your first has done. Alex doesn't like his diaper changed, getting dressed and especially getting his teeth brushed! Jeremy was the same way at his age! A word on Jeremy though too! He is my Power Ranger boy! His whole world could revolve around that! He really wants to go to Disneyland to check them out! He loves school and is doing so well. He loves to write his name and anyone else's if you let him know how it's spelled. He loves to play with friends and would love to play all the time! He has definetely matured into a cute 4 year old and I can't believe he's that old now!

Can we say stress!!

So for Christmas I got a digital camera. I was so excited because I could finally put pictures on the computer, etc. So on my last post, I mentioned all the snow. Well that was the last day I saw my camera. I took it outside with me to take pictures but because of the whiteness, the camera wouldn't take the pictures. I went in the house to get my old standby camera with actual film. I set my digital on a bench in the garage and forgot it was there. When I went to find it days later, it wasn't in the case! I was beside myself. I scoured the garage twice (it's nice to organize!) and scoured the house. In not finding it, Ben and I wondered if we had left the garage door and someone came by, saw it and took it. Well today, Jeremy had a friend over and they proceeded to dump toys out in his room. I thought I had looked in his room and in fact, the other day Jeremy brought in Ben's old digital that didn't work and asked me if it was the one I was looking for. As I went in his room to clean up, out of the corner of my eye I see this silver thing. I had to look twice but sure enough, it was my camera!! I was so happy. As I checked it to see if all was well, I come to find out that Jeremy is an aspiring photographer. He had taken pictures of everything he saw. In every room of the house. I deleted most of it but I wanted you all to see some of his work.

Do ya think we have enough snow??!!!

Last Sunday, North Ogden got hit with a TON of snow!! Enough that Ben's parents' church was cancelled. They took some pictures and wanted us to post them.
