I can't believe this little boy ain't so little anymore! Alex turned 5 and he was so excited to. He wanted a Star Wars birthday and I did my best to accommodate him. I even made him a cake. And it didn't look too bad. He had a soccer game on his birthday and we had a friend birthday here at our new house. All in all, I think he had a great day! As his mom, I have to say that Alex has a lot of character.
He is very stubborn (we have learned that he will eat what he wants when he wants it),
learns things when he is ready (he started to realize in preschool just in January that maybe he should start to write his name and learn his letters and numbers or he's not going to kindergarten),
loves to torment his younger brother (Jeremy did the same thing to him so I think he thinks it's some kind of normal),
loves to watch T.V. (we have to be careful or he would do it all day),
he's discovered the computer and computer games and does really well with them (he got a Leapster Explorer for his birthday)
and loves his mom (he has kind of a love/hate relationship with me-he gets really mad at me but always wants to snuggle with me and have me lay by him, do stuff for him and no one else can do it).
But I know he loves his family (especially his brothers-he always wants to do what Jeremy does),
loves church (his Primary teacher told me the other day that he is very smart in answering questions)
and is a good boy.
