Arts festival

We went to the North Ogden Arts festival again this year.  The boys love the art garden they have for kids.  They painted carpets again this year plus they made paper art and sand bracelets.

Grandma James's 89th birthday

The day we got back from our trip was Grandma James's 89th birthday.  She is in an assisted living right now because she fell a few weeks ago in the middle of the night and no one knew for a couple of days.  She ended up breaking her femur and had to have surgery and is recovering. So we went down to the care center and had a little party.  We are so grateful that Grandma is still here!

Ben's 35th birthday

We had the unique opportunity this year to be out of town for Ben's birthday.  We didn't think we would be but we stayed an extra day in Idaho Falls so this prevented us for being home for his birthday.  I made do by sneaking some birthday decorations at Walmart and some small little presents and the boys drew pictures for Ben on the car ride.  On the morning of his birthday, we had pancakes and sang Happy birthday.  We spent the day in Idaho Falls and had a dinner with some people we met there.  When we came home the next day, we gave Dad his real presents and had a little cake for him. Happy Birthday Daddy!  He is such a great dad and a wonderful husband!

We gave him a shirt, pants and a Jimmer video.

Island Park and Yellowstone!

The beautiful cabin
We had the unique opportunity to stay in a beautiful cabin for about a week in Island Park, Idaho.  We went into Yellowstone a few times while we were there and saw Old Faithful, a few waterfalls and some beautiful geysers.  We hardly saw any wildlife.  We also saw a really neat IMAX film in West Yellowstone (a must for anyone visiting Yellowstone if you can!), rode 4 wheelers, visited a waterfall just outside Rexburg and celebrated Ben's birthday in Idaho Falls right before school started for the boys! We had a nice time.

West Yellowstone

We saw a lot of these but hardly anything else

We saw a lot of this and you can't go anywhere when people are looking at the wildlife!

This one is so funny because Isaac just pulled up his pants and started goofing off! He is so funny!

There she blows!

Mesa Falls just outside of Rexburg.  They have an upper and lower section.  It was so pretty and we only saw them because we saw a sign on the regular road to take the scenic route and we thought what the hay we have time! So it was an unexpected beauty!

We stayed in Idaho Falls a couple of days.  This is Ben's birthday.

this was a fun little bench by the falls.

The boys had a lot of fun playing with a toy Jeremy found at the DI. They rolled and rolled it down the hill.
