Ramp activities

In front of the pioneer home

Ben and Isaac taking a walk around the grounds
There is a program called RAMP in the county we live in.  This program funds a lot of parks, programs and other things.  One thing they do with it in the summer is rent out different venues every summer for a few hours making it free for families to go to.  We have a list of places to chose from swimming to ice skating.  The end of June, we chose Fort Buenaventura.  This is a local place in the heart of Ogden that has an old pioneer cabin and a small pond that you can go canoeing in.  I have never been there and neither had the kids.  Ben had with the scouts when he was a teenager.  The boys loved to canoe and look around.
We also went to the Boy Scout headquarters where they have a ropes course.  Kids under 12 could only do the climbing wall but they let all three boys try it.  Isaac just kinda of got hoisted up. But it was fun for the boys.
