For the second year in a row, we went to the NAIFA annual summer party at the Barker fish farm.  The boys had a lot of fun fishing and we even played Frisbee golf.

Memorial day

Alex in action!
For Memorial Day this year, we went up to the Wirthlin cabin because Ben's uncle is leaving to be a mission president and we all wanted to get together one last time. The boys had fun playing around with all the cousins.
We then went to Park City to look around.  We took a bus ride around the town and ate on Main Street.

Isaac wanted to try on ski helmets!

Then we decided to go up to the St. Regis, a 5 star hotel we had heard about on a local TV station.  They have what's called a venicular.  It's a tram type ride up the mountain to the hotel.  The guy that helped us go up told us they have free smores over the fire for the kids.  The boys had a blast.  Isaac kept getting more and more chocolate.  The boys wrestled around on the grounds and looked around.  Alex said he wanted to live there because you get to ride on the venicular, wrestle and have smores every night!
Other Memorial activities included going to the Memorial Day program at Evergreen Memorial park.  Dad and Isaac dropped me off.

We also visited our family graves including my parents and my brother Jeremy's

Teacher gifts

The boys have had wonderful teachers this year and I wanted to show my appreciation, as well as the boys.  So I have pinned a TON of ideas on Pinterest and narrowed them down to the ones I made.
This is for Jeremy's teacher, Mrs. Powell.  This poem is about her being a Magnificent and Marvelous teacher, which she surely is!

Filled with all kinds of teacher essentials

The outside

For Alex's teacher, Mrs. Judkins.  It says 'Thanks for helping me grow this year'.  It's a pencil for the stake to keep it in the pot.

This is for the helper to Mrs. Judkins.

Sunday walk

Last Sunday, we went on a walk above the hills of North Ogden.  They boys loved it and wanted to hike the rocks.  We also met up with people watching the eclipse.  We had no idea about it and it was fun to see the sun with the various glasses people let us look through.

Fun with the boys

Isaac found the old Johnny Jump Up and had lots of fun in it

He and Alex doing activities on the Friend website
Isaac found a skateboard one Sunday and wanted to take it to church.  He even took it to nursery.  Here he is in the parking lot of the church

We also went to Sports Authority to look at bats and Isaac wanted to try on all the equipment.  So did the other boys.

Isaac also loves to play next door and the boys there love to turn on the hose and make a big mud hole.  Isaac got in it and Dad had to clean him up

Alex decided one day that his hair was getting too long.  We found him in the bathroom standing on the sick with some noticeable hair in the sink. Here he is before Dad helped to even it out.

Field trip with the scouts

For a recent scout activity we went to the local fire station.  It was fun and informative.

Learning all about fires and what to do with them.

Our instructor for the hour!

Future firefighters!

All geared up to fight a fire!
