We had quite an exciting adventure right here in the front of our house. We discovered that a hive of honey bees had made a hive in a bush to the side of our house. We called an exterminator and found out that they would cost almost $100 to come and kill the bees and couldn't come until the next day. They suggested calling a honey bee farmer, who usually come and get the bees for free because they are happy to add them to their collection to make honey. So we tracked a farmer down and he and his son came out, extracted the bees and where even nice enough to leave us with a bottle of the honey they make. They started making the honey because of the cost of buying it and have made a little business with it!

I think it's so great that you got someone to come and save the bees! Local honey is supposed to be really good for you too... so consider yourself doubly blessed. Sounds like a lot of excitement!
